Facebook launches Novi Wallet with Paxos stablecoin. In its pilot stage, the Novi wallet app will be available to select customers in Guatemala and the United States. Australia has third-highest rate of crypto adoption in the world. Finder’s survey found Australia has the third-highest rate of crypto ownership at 17.8%, topping such countries as Indonesia (16.7%) and the city of Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China (15.8%). France tests CBDC issuance in treasury bond blockchain trial. A consortium of institutions led by Euroclear have completed a test run of the use of central bank digital currency (CBDC) for settling French treasury bonds on a blockchain. The experiment uses ttechnology from IBM. 📰 Finextra

Options traders bet big on an Ethereum ETF is coming soon. Options traders are turning their attention to long-term bullish bets on the ether cryptocurrency because some anticipate an ether-based exchange-traded fund (ETF) product will likely follow the launch of the first bitcoin futures-based ETF in the U.S. 📰 Coindesk

Saw readies for Halloween with terrifying NFT Drop. 10,000 NFTs will make up the collection in total, split into three different categories. Facebook goes into the Metaverse. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been talking up the metaverse, a digital world where people can move between different devices and communicate in a virtual environment, since July, and the group has invested heavily in virtual reality and augmented reality, developing hardware such as its Oculus VR headsets and working on AR glasses and wristband technologies. 📰 Reuters
